Oil on board, 20cmx24cm

Painted en plein air (on location) with thick buttery oil paint and big brushes. I like creating texture in my plein air paintings by using lots of leftover paint, no mediums used. 

I have sailed to this island numerous times with friends and we sit and have a coffee (thermos) and enjoy the view and birdlife. So painting it has a special meaning.
